How could I possibly narrow down all that Lori has done for me in just a few sentences? I met Lori almost 10 years ago, when I struggled with an eating disorder. Lori’s degree of wisdom is unfathomable; let’s just leave it at that.

Years later, she became my Life Coach and has guided me into changing my career path and even helped me realize that what was missing in my life was to become a mother! I now have a beautiful 5-month old son and he is the love of my life.

To say that she has changed my life is an understatement; she has changed my entire family’s life! She also helped bring my husband and I closer together by learning communication skills that she taught us. Lori has gone above and beyond to make sure I’d be equipped with the life tools needed for the rest of my life. And for that I’ll forever be in her debt.

When I began seeing Lori I was in the early stages of a divorce. I was completely lost and confused, I had countless mixed emotions and no way to sort out my feeling or emotions. Not being a native of Long Island I had no family in the area and only a few friends to help me through this very difficult time. I was very depressed and down on myself, without question at that time in my life I lacked any type of confidence, and to top it off I was unable to connect on any level with another person. This was my definite low point. Once I began seeing Lori she helped me to start sorting through my feelings and understand what I was feeling and why. She showed me how to open up and express myself on levels that quite frankly I had never done before...Fast forward a year and a half later, now in my late 30’s I have never felt more self-aware and confident in my life. I am just simply as happy as I have ever been. I think by understanding myself the way I do now it shows in every aspect of my life.

Lori Alrod has helped me to put my mind at ease and be less stressed about everyday life with my AD/HD teenage son. She guided my husband and I in making some very big decisions for him, and encouraged us to ‘let go’ a little bit and live outside our comfort zone. Because she has dealt with many of the same issues with her own children, she is able to give me very insightful advice and suggestions.

I have known Lori Alrod for many years. She has helped many parents of special needs children cope with acceptance and adjustments in their lives. As a parent of a child with autism and muscular dystrophy, I am grateful for her support and guidance. She has helped me through so much over the years, and I am not sure what I would have done without her. I am also the president of the Syosset Special Education PTA. Our organization supports the parents and children of special needs, in our district. We raise money for scholarships, speakers and run support groups. Lori has graciously run several of these support groups, and we look forward again to having her this year. Many of my members have contacted her and turned to her for help and advice as well. She has a unique understanding of how to empower the caretaker to be a happier and stronger person. I person I have become. I am sincerely grateful.
